Writing Workshop on the Argumentative Essay

In this writing workshop, we explored the Argumentative Essay, looking at the rubric and then using the remainder of the time to practice our skills. We first began by talking about thesis statements and analyzing statements for adequacy as well as improving poor thesis statements. We then practiced writing body paragraphs that give evidence as well as support it with reasoning. Finally, we looked at the counterargument and how to write one in your essay.
